1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hexproof ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hexproof is a community platform for Magic: The Gathering players, providing features including but not limited to:

• Deck building and management tools
• Social features for connecting with other players
• Content creation and sharing
• Community and group management
• Event organization
• Magic: The Gathering card information and search

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and post on Hexproof. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

You are solely responsible for your content and must ensure it:

• Does not infringe on any third-party rights
• Is not illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Does not contain malware or malicious code
• Complies with our Community Guidelines

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content without permission
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Circumvent any access control or security measures
• Share explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content

6. Content Moderation

We employ automated systems and human review to moderate content. We reserve the right to:

• Remove or modify content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities

Content containing profanity may be automatically flagged for review and may be censored or removed.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hexproof and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Magic: The Gathering, all card names, artwork, and symbols are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC. Hexproof is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. We operate under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy.

8. Third-Party Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

Card data is provided by the Scryfall API. We do not guarantee the accuracy of card information and are not responsible for errors in third-party data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEXPROOF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hexproof and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Service Availability and Discontinuation

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. Where practical, we will give reasonable advance notice by email to registered users and by notice on hexproof.app.

You are encouraged to export and keep your own copies of content you create on the Service. You may request a copy of your data at any time by contacting hello@hexproof.app.

Discontinuation of the Service does not affect your rights under applicable data protection law, including your right to access, receive a copy of, or request deletion of your personal data. Such requests can be made at hello@hexproof.app regardless of whether the Service is currently available.
